Finding Us We are located just outside Huddersfield town centre on Wakefield Road 409 , opposite Ravensknowle Park. Roadside parking is available outside the practice. If this is your first visit, we recommend allowing extra time to find us and park your car.
Sarah qualified as a Dental Therapist from the University of Liverpool in 2011 and has spent over a decade helping patients feel more confident in their smiles. She worked in Cheshire for more than 10 years before relocating to West Yorkshire, where she continues to treat patients in both NHS and private settings.
Sarah enjoys all aspects of dental therapy, particularly treating gum problems, restoring teeth with white fillings, and supporting smile enhancements. She is passionate about helping people regain confidence in their smile and has a calm, supportive approach that helps put even the most anxious patients at ease.
She is currently working towards a Postgraduate Diploma to further her skills in smile enhancement and is committed to ongoing professional development.
Outside of dentistry, Sarah loves running, rock climbing, and going on adventures with her dog, who happens to be named after Bob Ross the painter!
Romy qualified as a Dental Therapist from the University of Birmingham in July 2025. Although a recent graduate, Romy has thrown herself into her work with enthusiasm, continually developing her skills and expanding her experience within the field.
Romy’s favourite part of being a hygiene therapist is helping patients feel more confident about their smiles. She loves seeing the difference that even small improvements in oral health can make, both in appearance and in how patients feel about themselves. Her passion lies in the cosmetic side of dentistry, from removing stains to building up teeth and transforming smiles. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing patients leave feeling happier and more confident.
Outside of work, Romy enjoys spending time with her family and going wild swimming, especially in the summer months. A fun fact about her is that she has played basketball since her teenage years, continuing throughout university, loving the team spirit and energy of the sport.
Chelsea brings her creativity and energy to the practice as our Content Creator. A professional dancer by background, Chelsea’s favourite style is commercial, and her career has taken her to stages all over the world. Along the way, she has even mastered stilt walking and fire breathing, adding to her repertoire of unique talents. Now happily settled in Huddersfield with her boyfriend Eric and her much loved cockapoo, Mylo, Chelsea has turned her focus to storytelling through content.
Chelsea is excited to learn about dentistry and to capture and share the many wonderful smiles created at the practice.
Outside of work, Chelsea is happiest when planning her next adventure. She always has a holiday booked and will gladly tell you where she’s heading next if you ask. With her love of chocolate, she’s also the first person we call if a patient is ever feeling faint.
Chloe qualified as a Dental Nurse in January 2025 with Bradford College, and we’re so proud to have her as part of our team. She has a particular interest in orthodontics and hopes to train as an Orthodontic Therapist in the future, helping patients achieve straighter, more confident smiles.
Outside of dentistry, Chloe loves long drives, travelling (especially to Greece), and has a big soft spot for turtles. She is also full of surprises as she can do the splits and plays the clarinet, a hidden talent many wouldn’t guess.
One of the most amazing things about Chloe is her story. She was born at just 28 weeks, weighing only 2lb 2oz, and has grown into the incredible, determined person we know today.

Helena gained her City and Guilds Level 3 in Dental Nursing Qualification in 2006 and has since worked in both NHS and private practices across Huddersfield. Over the years, she’s developed a particular interest in surgical dentistry, where she enjoys supporting complex procedures and helping patients feel at ease.
Helena also holds qualifications in Personal Training and Dental Nurse Assessing, reflecting her passion for learning and mentoring others.
Outside of work, Helena is a devoted mum to three boys and an accomplished runner. She competes for Holmfirth Harriers AC and proudly volunteers as the Ladies’ Captain. Her dedication to the sport has even led her to represent England in her age category. When she’s not running, she loves being outdoors, gardening, reading, and making the most of family time.
Laura qualified as a Dental Nurse in 2011, completing her NVQ Level 3 in Dental Nursing in Wakefield. Since then, she has gained valuable experience and found her true passion working in implant dentistry, and is currently working towards a post qualification in Implant Nursing. Laura understands how important the journey is to each individual patient and takes pride in being a reassuring presence at every stage, helping patients feel calm, confident, and informed.
Outside of the practice, Laura is a proud mum and loves spending quality time with her children. She also enjoys getting outdoors for long walks with her much loved dog, Nella. Whether it’s a peaceful stroll or a weekend family adventure, Laura makes the most of her time away from work to recharge and enjoy the little things in life.
Friendly, experienced, and passionate about patient care, Laura brings a calm and supportive energy to the team and is always happy to share her implant knowledge with both patients and colleagues.
Restorative & Cosmetic Dentist
Naiymah graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2009 and has a passion for helping patients feel more confident with their smiles. Her favourite areas of dentistry are restorative and cosmetic treatments, as well as clear aligners, where she enjoys transforming smiles with precision and care.
Outside of work, Naiymah is a busy parent to three children, so spare time is a rare treat. When she can, she loves exploring new places with her family. She has even visited the Great Wall of China! At home, she shares her life with her Russian Blue cat, Tallulah, and enjoys watching her daughter excel in kickboxing.
Orthodontics
Itziar qualified as a dentist from the University of the Basque Country in 2008. Since then, she has dedicated her career to helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles. Itziar’s favourite part of being a dentist is creating beautiful smiles and seeing her patients’ confidence grow. She has a particular passion for orthodontics and minimally invasive dentistry, combining precision with a gentle approach to patient care.
In addition to her clinical work, Itziar also trains dentists in their first year after dental school during their foundation year, sharing her experience and supporting the next generation of dental professionals.
Outside of work, Itziar enjoys cooking for friends and family and exploring the outdoors on hikes. A fun fact about her is that she once went scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef, an adventure that left her in awe of the underwater world, like many of our other members of the team!

Rich is an experienced Dental Practitioner with a special interest in Orthodontics. As the seventh Dental Surgeon in his family, he has a great passion for dentistry.
After graduating from Birmingham in 1993, Rich spent over 20 years as a Practice Owner and Partner at The Old Surgery Dental Practice in Crewe.
Rich holds a Postgraduate Certificate and Diploma in Orthodontics for General Practice and is accredited in Advanced Lingual Orthodontics and Invisalign.
With his wealth of experience and approachable manner, Rich is committed to delivering high-quality care and creating those picture perfect confident, healthy smiles.

Dr. Adam Sharif is dedicated to providing high-quality dental care with a strong focus on preventative and cosmetic dentistry. Passionate about helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles, he combines his expertise with a patient-centered approach to ensure the best possible outcomes. Adam particularly enjoys composite bonding, using his skill and attention to detail to create beautiful, natural-looking results. Since joining the practice, he has already begun creating some amazing smiles for our patients.
Outside of work, Adam enjoys spending time with his family and discovering new restaurants. He has recently welcomed a baby boy and is loving this exciting new chapter in his life, embracing the joys of parenthood alongside his passion for dentistry.

Irina is an enthusiastic trainee dental nurse, currently pursuing her Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing. She is passionate about providing exceptional care and supporting patients throughout their dental journeys.
With a background in psychology, Irina brings valuable experience as a counselor, having supported individuals in challenging life situations. This background helps her empathetic approach to patient care and her ability to contribute meaningfully to the team.
Outside the clinic, Irina enjoys walking in nature, exploring art and museums, and indulging in cultural experiences like opera, theatre, and cinema.
Cheryl is truly an extraordinary individual with an impressive 30-year career at the practice. Her dedication to her role as a dental nurse and her genuine care for patients have earned her widespread admiration and affection within our practice. Cheryl’s wealth of stories from her professional journey reflects her passion and commitment to dental care.
Beyond her professional life, Cheryl finds joy in the outdoors, often seen on energetic walks or enjoying camping adventures. Her love for baking not only satisfies her creative side but also brings warmth and joy to those around her, and the team when she treats us to bakewell tarts. Cheryl’s most cherished moments are spent with her family, particularly her husband and grand children, where her nurturing and loving personality shines brightly.

Diana is currently loving her training at Bradford College. She’s dedicated and passionate about dentistry, and it’s clear she’s becoming a key part of our team. Diana speaks both Russian and Ukrainian, and she has a natural talent for making all our patients feel comfortable and at ease during their visits.
When she’s not working or studying, Diana enjoys capturing beautiful moments as an amateur photographer. She also volunteers every weekend at the White Rose Rhythmic Gymnastics Club in Huddersfield, where she loves supporting young athletes.
Gardening is another one of her passions; she takes great joy in filling her garden with a variety of flowers, creating a colorful and vibrant space. Diana also treasures spending time with her family, going for walks, reading in multiple languages, and looking after her playful cat, Nora.
We’re thrilled to have Diana on our team. Her positive energy, skills, and genuine care for our patients make her an invaluable part of our dental practice.
Catherine gained her City and Guilds Level 3 in Dental Nursing in 2017. Since then, she has developed a keen interest in Oral Health Promotion and improving patient care, contributing her skills and experience across the team and practice. She has worked in multiple surgeries and NHS practices, building a broad range of experience.
Catherine has recently completed a course in dental radiography and is currently developing her portfolio to take X-rays unaided.
Outside of work, she has been involved with the Royal Air Force Air Cadets since she was 14 and continues to volunteer as an adult at 59 (Huddersfield Squadron). She enjoys spending time with her family in Yorkshire and back home in the North West, going on holidays in the UK, especially Devon and the Lake District, and abroad. She also loves fitting in reading, and games of Monopoly and UNO, embracing the busy balance of life.
Abi, our skilled dental nurse, qualified at Leeds Dental Institute in 2008. She enjoys nursing for cosmetic dental work and composite fillings, areas in which she excels and finds the most rewarding.
Abi is also committed to helping in the local community. Earlier this year, she arranged visits to some local schools with a few of our nurses, Oak Primary and Lindley Junior School. They provided valuable oral hygiene advice for the children, with many more visits planned in the future. Additionally, she is excited about hosting baby and toddler coffee mornings at the practice to further engage with the community and educate new mums.
Outside of her professional life, Abi enjoys an active lifestyle, with running and walking being her favourite activities. She treasures the time spent with her son and loves going out for meals, exploring different restaurants together. Abi’s dedication to both her work and personal life makes her an invaluable member of our team, bringing warmth, expertise, and a genuine care for our patients and the community.
Joanne brings a wealth of expertise to our front of house team, having worked mainly in front of house roles before joining Town Dental. Her extensive experience as a receptionist makes her exceptionally well-rounded in understanding both the administrative and patient care aspects of dental services.
Joanne finds the most joy in creating a memorable and comfortable patient experience. Her friendly demeanour and attention to detail ensure that every patient feels welcome and well cared for from the moment they walk through our doors.
Outside of work, Joanne has a passion for travel, with Rome being her favourite city to visit. She loves exploring new cultures and cuisines, which ties into her deep appreciation for family and food. Joanne values quality time with her loved ones and enjoys sharing delicious meals with them.
Niki began her dental journey in 2016, training as a dental nurse and earning her National Diploma in Dental Nursing from My Dentist, accredited by NEBDN. Over the years, she has gained experience across various practices, loves training new dental nurses, and has recently stepped back from nursing to focus on supporting the team.
Outside of work, Niki enjoys romantic, feel-good books, catching the latest cinema blockbusters, and diving. After her first experience in the Red Sea, she went diving in Malta and discovered a love of exploring shipwrecks. She has also recently bought her first house and is embracing her new role as project manager at home!
Her volunteer work with Dentaid both here in the UK and overseas has allowed her to travel to Uganda & provide essential dental care to underserved communities, an experience she treasures. Watching patients’ confidence grow remains her favourite part of dentistry, along with developing dental nurses and she absolutely loves the Christmas countdown and all the festive joy it brings, no matter what time of the year.
Dr. Elena is an experienced general dentist with a passion for endodontics. She graduated from dental school in Craiova, Romania, in 2003 and has spent the last 16 years in Leeds, working in a mixed private-NHS practice.
Her commitment to education is evident; she earned a Certificate in Restorative Dentistry from Warwick University in 2013 and graduated with Distinction from King’s College London in 2023 with a Postgraduate Diploma in Endodontics. As a Dentist with a Special Interest (DwSI) in Endodontics, Elena approaches each case with care and dedication and is using her special interest in endodontics here at The Town Dental to offer private root canal and re-root canal treatments.
Elena believes in a calm, empathetic approach to patient care, ensuring everyone feels comfortable. Outside of dentistry, she enjoys family time, travel, and is currently pursuing her PADI Open Water Certification in diving.
Divyesh has a special interest in oral and maxillofacial surgery. Since graduating from Cardiff University in 2017, he has gained extensive experience, including two clinical fellow years in hospital. He focuses on complex extractions and wisdom tooth removals, always prioritising patient comfort with his calm, empathetic approach.
Divyesh is particularly passionate about removing wisdom teeth proactively to prevent issues with other teeth or the rest of the mouth and has treated many patients with retained teeth after failed extractions. He now also offers IV sedation to ensure a relaxed and comfortable experience for patients undergoing more complex procedures.
He has a keen interest in Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) for its regenerative properties, staying up to date with advancements to provide the best outcomes for patients.
Outside of work, Divyesh enjoys football, walks with his Bernese Mountain Dog, traveling, and spending time with his family. He has recently welcomed a baby boy, embracing this exciting new chapter alongside his dental career.
Francesca is a highly skilled and compassionate hygiene therapist, holding a degree from Leeds University. Her passion for dental care shines through in her commitment to both restorative and periodontal aspects of her work. She takes great pride in helping patients achieve healthy smiles with personalized care, combining her attention to detail in restorative treatments and her expertise in gum health and preventative care.
This summer, Francesca extended her dedication by visiting Malawi, where she participated in emergency dental care clinics for individuals with limited access to dental services.
In her free time, Francesca stays active by playing hockey and enjoys outdoor adventures with her loyal dog, Blu. Her expertise, empathy, and enthusiasm make her a valued member of the team.
Dr. Hartley graduated from Sheffield University in 1991 and has since amassed over 30 years of expertise in dentistry. As the owner of our practice for the past three decades, he has fostered enduring relationships with his patients, reflecting his commitment to exceptional care and service.
Even in his semi-retirement, Dr. Hartley remains passionately dedicated to NHS work, ensuring accessibility to quality dental care for all. Family is at the heart of his life, and he cherishes spending time with his loved ones, especially now that his daughters have also made their way on to university.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Hartley now enjoys going on cruises with family, finding relaxation and adventure on the seas. In the practice we often find him completing the daily newspaper crosswords between patient appointments, showcasing his quizzing mind.
Dr. Hartley’s wealth of experience, coupled with his genuine care for patients and zest for life, makes him an invaluable member of our dental team. His dedication ensures that every patient receives personalised care and a warm, welcoming experience at our practice.
Laura Mikutyte took ownership of the practice in March 2022 and has dedicated the past two years to renovating and modernising the practice. Supported by her husband, who excels as a project manager, she has revitalised the practice with cutting-edge technology and patient care. Dr. Mikutyte is passionate about ensuring everyone can confidently smile during those perfect moments with loved ones. Outside of work, she cherishes spending quality time with her husband and three children, whether they are cheering on their children at swimming competitions, hiking in the Peak District, or cycling.
Dr. Mikutyte became a qualified dentist in 2003 and later obtained her MSc in Dental Implantology from Manchester University in 2011. She previously worked in private practices in Leeds, gaining experience from senior colleagues in dental implantology. Dr. Mikutyte is currently accepting referrals for dental implants: single or multiple, all on 4, and denture stabilisation with dental implants.
